Glenn Larsen is a fine art photographer whose work explores people, places, culture, and the visual character of everyday life. A graduate of the University of Arizona with a BA in Fine Art in 1984, grounding a design-aware practice that resonates with interior designers who use photography to anchor space, color, and mood, Larsen has developed a photographic practice that moves comfortably between figure portraiture, street photography, travel, architecture, nature, and the distinctive energy of Las Vegas. Travel has become an important part of Larsen’s photographic vision, with work from Europe, the Americas and Caribbean, and other destinations capturing both cultural traditions and contemporary life. His photographs often seek the unexpected beauty found in ordinary moments, whether observing people in the street, exploring historic architecture and cultural traditions, or photographing the natural landscapes that inspire him. His Las Vegas work, including his photographs of Fremont Street, reflects his interest in the city’s colorful characters, visitors, performers, and ever-changing street life.
